This particular channel is dedicating itself to music that has been strongly influenced by Leon Russel. Russell played piano among many genres - rock n’ roll, soul, blues, and even a swampy R&B. A truly unique musician, he never considered himself a jazz player and did not enjoy playing jazz. Even so, his songs became well-renowned jazz standards. A true musical genius, he surpassed the limits of genre and to this day cannot be cast in a single genre of music.

Between Russell’s writing, playing, and arranging, he represents an extensive range of an Americana musical existence. From the 60’s, 70’s, to the present, the Master of Space and Time is still being rendered musically and will for many, many decades to come.
